A Day When More Than 1,000 Land Cruisers Gathered at Fuji SpeedwayEvent Report

LAND CRUISER FES JAPAN 2026

Event Coverage · June 2026

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, I attended LAND CRUISER FES JAPAN 2026 at Fuji Speedway in Japan.

The moment I arrived at the venue, I was greeted by an incredible sight: row after row of Land Cruisers, far more than I could count at a glance. There were more than 1,000 vehicles in total, and the scene truly lived up to the title of one of the largest Land Cruiser events in Japan.

What impressed me even more was how far people had come. Looking at the license plates, I could see that owners had traveled from all over Japan. From the north to the south of the country, Land Cruiser fans gathered at Fuji Speedway for this one special day. That alone showed just how meaningful this event was.

Chapter 1

A Land Cruiser Festival for All Ages

The venue was filled with people of all ages. Families with small children, older visitors, and everyone in between came together for the event.

The Land Cruiser is not just a car. It is something deeply connected to people's lives and family memories, and it is loved across generations. This event reminded me of that in the strongest way.

What makes this festival so special is that it is not only for owners. Anyone who is interested in them can enjoy it. It really felt like the Land Cruiser community was alive in front of us.

Chapter 2

From the Classic Land Cruiser 40 to the Latest FJ

The event brought together every kind of Land Cruiser, from vintage models to the latest FJ, 300, 250, and 70 Series vehicles from all over Japan.

What stood out most was the variety. From the retro and charming Land Cruiser 40, to the rugged 70 Series, to the refined latest models, it felt like walking through the history of the Land Cruiser itself.

There were also many colorful and unique vehicles on display. Every car clearly reflected the passion of its owner. Carefully polished paint, thoughtful modifications, and the proud look of well-used machines — every Land Cruiser had its own story.

Chapter 3

A Strong Presence from Professional Shops

The venue also hosted many professional shops, including well-known names in the Land Cruiser world such as Gunma Toyota and 4x4 Engineering.

There were plenty of custom ideas on display, especially for wheels, tires, suspension, and rooftop tents. Just looking around was exciting enough to make you start thinking, "What kind of setup should I try next?"

That is part of the charm of this event. It brings owners together and keeps the conversation going.

The Land Cruiser is a car that is already excellent in stock form, but it also offers endless possibilities for customization. I felt that depth all over again here.

Chapter 4

The New Land Cruiser FJ Display and Test Drive Experience

One of the biggest highlights this year was the display and test drive area for the new Land Cruiser FJ.

It was great to see the vehicle up close, and the test drive course was designed so visitors could experience the Land Cruiser's real off-road capability. The course recreated extreme driving conditions that you would never normally encounter in everyday life.

Bank Section

In this section, one tire climbed up about 60 cm, causing the body to tilt by around 30 degrees. It recreated a road with steep slopes and large obstacles, and the Land Cruiser showed excellent stability thanks to its high wheel articulation and solid ground contact.

Mogul Section

This section recreated uneven terrain where one wheel at the front and one at the rear could lift off the ground and spin freely. Even so, the vehicle moved forward smoothly thanks to the off-road traction control system. It was impressive to watch.

Stair Section

This section featured a 25-degree incline for both uphill and downhill driving. It clearly showed the Land Cruiser's true strength. Even from the sidelines, it was a powerful and thrilling experience.

I also had a chance to speak briefly with Mr. Asai, the person in charge of development for the new Land Cruiser FJ. I'll share more details about that interview in a future article.

Chapter 5

The Grand Finale: A Parade Run That Filled Fuji Speedway

The highlight of the entire festival was, without a doubt, the parade run.

One after another, Land Cruisers rolled onto the racing course at Fuji Speedway. That alone was exciting enough, but in the end, 300 Land Cruisers lined up on the track.

While waiting for the start, participants took photos and enjoyed talking with each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Then, once every vehicle was in place and the signal was given, the parade run began.

The Land Cruisers started moving out two at a time, one pair after another. The sight of so many different models creating such a colorful lineup was truly breathtaking.

Everywhere you looked, the entire course was filled with Land Cruisers. It was a scene that can only be described as magnificent, spectacular, and absolutely stunning.

Chapter 6

An Open Festival Even for People Who Don't Own a Land Cruiser

One of the best things about this festival is that it is not a closed event for owners only. People who do not yet own a Land Cruiser can also join, and I heard that the total number of vehicles, including general visitor cars, reached more than 1,600.

In other words, LAND CRUISER FES JAPAN 2026 was not only for people who already own one. It was also for people who admire Land Cruisers, are curious about them, or simply want to enjoy the culture surrounding them.

What I saw there was more than just a car show. It was a special moment where the heritage of Land Cruiser and today's outdoor lifestyle came together.

Closing

Land Cruiser Fes Is a "Living Community"

LAND CRUISER FES JAPAN 2026 was an event that strongly reminded me of the history, culture, and human connections behind the Land Cruiser.

It was a place to show cars, yes, but it was also a place where owners could talk with one another, where children and adults could all have fun, and where the community continued to grow through the Land Cruiser itself. In that sense, this festival was truly a living community.

The Land Cruiser is not only a tool. It is also something that creates memories. And having a place where people can share that passion is one of the greatest things about this community.
