Last Friday, I hopped into a taxi from Melbourne just after sunrise, the city still wrapped in that cool morning chill. As we drove out toward the coast, skyscrapers gave way to rolling fields dotted with sheep, and the sky turned brighter with every passing mile. By the time we reached the small seaside town, the air was filled with the scent of salt and wildflowers.
